Star Wars Saga Legends 3.75-Inch Wave 4 Snowtrooper Action Figure.
Hasbro has come a long way with the level of detail with their 4-Inch action figure line. We will analyze the packaging and figure with our personal thoughts and comments and we hope you enjoy!
Packaging:
Overall Grade: B-
The Vintage 4-Inch Action Figure cardbacks were simple and amazing. The modern cardback have exploded with creativity to the point where we now are seeing more shaped backs, such as the Saga Legends Stormtrooper head-shaped cardbacks with this wave. That being said, with more complex cardbacks, comes complex problems. Example: the hangtag cutout tends to come from the factor with a crease or bent since it is exposed at the top of the cardback.
At first glance, the bottom portion of the blister is very nice but we think a bit busy. No need for a Star Wars Rebels advertisement right on the package! Otherwise, looks great.
At the top of the cardback, we would expect more symmetry with the age restriction and Disney logo.
The blister itself is what brings the overall packaging grade down. As soon as we opened the case, we noticed this figure's blister was not sealed on one edge at all! It appeared as if the plastic shrunk during the heat process.

The seal along the bottom edge of the blister was also questionable, at best.

This, we feel, should be improved upon in future waves.
Cardback Back Side. Love it. Well, 90%. It is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching. But, the middle image of the two Snowtrooper lacks quite a bit in overall quality. With the figure in hand, we are of the opinion that image could be improved drastically. If you look at the images from the Vintage figures, they are crystal clear, bright and a joy to look at. This one leaves us squinting, thinking our eyes are slightly out of focus.

Actual Figure:
Overall Grade: A
Let's review the actual figure now. Initial reaction: Great job! This figure has contours, textures and tons of details! These figures have come a long way from the straight-legged, stiff-armed corpse pose from the 70s and 80s.
This figure has more of a human element to it but we do feel slightly cheated with the 98% solid white, almost too white figure. We think adding a touch of dirt, residue or blast material would seal the deal. Give the figure that dirty look. They are supposed to be Imperial Snowtroopers. They shouldn't seem so sterile! Additionally, there are only a few points of contention. The "cape" at the back has been split in two (likely for ease of manufacturing) and we feel a bit cheated.

Lastly, the chest paint and eye paint was inconsistent from figure to figure, even within the same case!
All in all, we will give this figure an overall grade of: B+. There is a lot of room for improvement but it's a solid start.
